Treat Your Pain in the Neck with Myofascial Release

Jun 02, 2026

A woman came in with a stiff neck and she could barely turn her head, she was having trouble looking over her shoulder while driving. She had a constant migraine for over a year. She’s happy to say her migraine has not been back since her third Myofascial Release session. She has been able to find substantial pain relief and greater range of motion with treatments.

I see results like this everyday with Myofascial Release. MFR is gentle and safe. MFR treats the symptoms at their source. This highly effective therapy helps you create positive structural change in your body, shift chronic pain patterns and get back to doing what you love.

I am so grateful to help clients everyday get the best results with MFR. MFR delivers lasting pain relief, eliminates inflammation and brings greater range of motion to your body. If you are looking for lasting positive structural change in your body, come in and get treated with Myofascial Release.

I see people get treated with MFR and getting out of pain every day!

You deserve to feel good in your body. Your body is your vehicle, it is your home, get treated and get back to your best life.

Pain, swelling and immobility can be like a snowball effect because when we compensate, we end up creating tension in other parts of the body.

Necks are a more complicated part of our anatomy. Neck tension is a result of the imbalances in the body from the feet all the way up to the head. We can look at the body like a building, as a carpenter, architect or engineer might tell you, the structural integrity and stability of a building depends on a sound foundation. A building’s base and foundation will determine how plumb, true, and center the entire building.

And as we build we want to maintain center.

We stack ourselves from the ground up in segments, at each joint there is symmetry or asymmetry. When there is an imbalance in a joint (unequal tension) typically the joints above it need to counter balance by tightening one side more than the other in order to stay erect.

There are patterns in tension that are created from compensating for an injury or trauma. We may have an ankle, knee or hip injury where we favored one leg, putting an uneven amount of pressure on the opposite side, this will ricochet up the body and when we have tension patterns below that will reflect in tension in the head, neck and shoulders.

As a culture we spend a lot more of our time on our phones, computers and sitting. These static positions need counter balanced or they can have severe consequences especially later in life. There is something called text neck. The pressure and load the head puts on the spine increases as the angle of the head increases. So the weight of the head increases and the load creates neurological, postural and alignment problems over time.

I have clients who have severe kyphosis, which looks like a hunch in the back. These patterns can be treated. Sometimes with kyphosis there can be deeper issues to address.

Sometimes tall people hunch so they don’t tower over or feel like a monster to people. I had a client who’s hunch back was related to the development of her breasts, with presence centered awareness we brought this to her conscious mind and she was able to change her core beliefs to have confidence and to walk and stand in a different way.

When there are breast cancer surgeries, or hysterectomies the scar tissue can cause adhesions and can put stress on internal organs, these organs can be pulled out of place and this can also cause dysfunction. Sometimes just knowing where issues stem from helps us to resolve them.

I offer clients Presence Centered Awareness Therapy to get to the heart of what’s going on. So we can efficiently process our past, and not keep carrying it into our future.

When the weight of the head comes forward, the front of the neck becomes shortened and the neck and shoulders tend to overstretch on the back of the body.

We have 4 sides of the body so at each vertebrae, rib, joint, bend or sway we have a connected set of parts that together organize themselves to make up your structure.

Your body parts are either working in harmony with great tone, elasticity, strength, balance flexibility, agility, mobility...or.... The tissue can become dehydrated, stiff, adhered, weak, immobile, irritated, swollen, bumps, lumps, hard, hot, tender, aching, numb, asleep, pain, electric, pins and needles.

With MFR we treat the body as a whole system, we look at your structure form the ground up, and you get an expert who listens to you, hears your experience and treats your whole body.

So everything you share is tracked, heard and taken under consideration in treatment. So your symptoms can be treated from where they stem, so we can get to the tap root. What this means is you are not only treating one part of the body as if it is not connected and contributing to the rest of the parts.

Often in Western medicine people are diagnosed and their pain symptoms are downplayed, ignored, overlooked, or misdiagnosed.

I hear stories about surgeons doing unnecessary procedures, making mistakes, and causing harm by not providing a quality of care that is necessary. Often times I treat people who have been mishandled by doctors. They have stories where their symptoms get worse and they are shuffled off to the next specialist.

They are told to get a steroid shot, an epidural, a cortisone shot, take pain meds, or get surgery. Most of the time these treatments temporarily mask symptoms, and cause damage to the structure of the tissue. They can further exacerbate the problem and provide no real long term solution.

If you have been experiencing symptoms, get treated for your fascial restrictions, improve your conditions and get the relief you’ve ben looking for with Myofascial Release.

Myofascial Release frees restrictions in the fascia. Your fascia is like a web, a fabric, it is all of your connective tissues. Your fascia wants to be healthy, hydrated and collagen rich. MFR restores health to your fascia.

Fascial restrictions can have a tensile strength of up to 2000 lbs of pressure per square inch. This translates to a pressure load that can be like an internal straight jacket that can put pressure on sensitive structures like nerves, blood vessels, and can cause cellular dysfunction.

Fascia is considered the mother of all systems because the health of all the systems in your body relies upon the health of your fascia.

I have seen severe conditions treated with incredible results with Myofascial Release. It’s important to get treated and to release the restrictions in your fascia.

Your best self is waiting. Get into your flow state, get treated with MFR.
