Where Healing Becomes Art: The Philosophy Behind Sol Bodyworks
May 27, 2026
Welcome to my world, where things might be different than normal. I invite you to use your imagination, to come with curiosity, and to explore your experience from a place of observation.
What you have within you is cultivated, intentional, grand by design, and affected by your environment. You are nourished by the earth, the sun, the trees, and all the plant and animal kingdoms. Your existence affects the whole living, breathing universe. You matter. Your life force that fills your lungs with breath, with manna, with living energy is significant. You are animated with energy. You have been created with love, with material, you are flesh and bone.
You deserve enough. You deserve to be healthy. And it takes time to unwind the myths and programs that can hold you down, keeping you locked into a way of being that is too confining. When we look inside ourselves, we can get honest. We get to see the messes we've made in life. The twists and turns of my body in the bike accident when I was flying down A Street with my little brother on the back rack and a woman ran a stop sign and T-boned us at the bottom of a hill. How many times did I get wrestled and thrown around by my big brothers, or fall off the toboggan at the bottom of the hill, or out of that tree, or the time I fell off a horse? Then there was that car accident, those pregnancies, births, and child rearing, the lifetime of bodywork I've given, the work I've done in the garden, the Jungle Jane I was on Kauai... the many experiences of this body.
And so I go back again to my roots as a gardener. I remember many years of weeding and planting, having to get to the tap root of a weed. In my work it is not different. Releasing fascial restrictions in your living tissue is much like weeding a garden and sculpting. Making sure the garden has enough room in the soil to grow. You want to have room in your fascia to flourish.
I like to imagine your fascia as little flowers in seas of gardens. We want your tissue fluffy and perking up to be pollinated. We want the bees to be nestling up in your petals. We want your tissue to be juicy, hydrated, and loved.
Someone asked me today what I was doing, and it's a little hard to explain. I feel like an explorer in another land, with peaks of mountains, hills, and valleys. Like there is earth to be tilled, weeds to pull, and landscapes to make smooth again. I get to put pressure on structures in the body from superficial to deep to change the landscape of the tissue.
The fascia, which surrounds every cell of your body, is crystalline in structure. So when I apply pressure there is heat and electricity, and with heat penetrates the collagenous barrier where I can destruct and restructure your elastin and collagen fibers to align and flow in a more roomy, spacious, hydrated home of sculpted flesh. A manicured garden feels so organized and abundant with wise cultivation.
Piezoelectricity is the phenomenon where certain materials generate an electric charge in response to applied mechanical stress (direct effect), and conversely, deform when an electric field is applied (converse effect), acting as a bridge between mechanical and electrical energy. This property is found in crystals like quartz and some ceramics.
The piezoelectric effect in bodywork refers to generating electrical potentials within soft tissues and bones through mechanical pressure, such as massage, myofascial release, or movement. This process converts physical stress into electrical energy, which helps normalize electric charges in tissues, enhances collagen maturation, and stimulates healing by reducing tension and promoting cellular activity. (Google AI.) Promoting cellular activity, huh?
Yes, we promote cellular activity by bringing in circulation, by distributing the interstitial fluids in the body to tissue that is less hydrated. We bring life and activity to these areas. The permeability of the membranes allows the fluid to pass information, informing how your tissue grows by bathing the DNA, RNA, and proteins as the interstitium communicates with the nucleus of the cells. Your body's medium is a fluid-filled space supported by a network of collagen fibers.
What better than to grow your garden with love.
Loving thoughts, loving sensations, loving sounds, loving touch, loving affirming, honoring, de-armoring, laying down the sword by the river, letting go, releasing, remembering, restoring, replenishing, quenching, washing, cleansing, cleaning, clearing, weeding, sweeping, trusting, knowing, intuitive, intuit, fresh, new, alive, life force, rejuvenating, sustaining, thinning, control burned, flushed, fluidly loving with Love. The great Angels of Love. The Earthly Mother's Angels and Heavenly Father's Angels. The divine and natural laws of these transformational vessels of the body.
When I first started, I didn't know what I was doing, and the potential of what I could do was something I might not have believed possible. How incredibly blessed I am to have the strength and fortitude to have chosen, over and over again, to believe in the powerful healing of Love, Awareness, and Knowledge.
I came to this work feeling like a broken, lost child in some ways. I was suffering and hurting from pain, conditioning, and experiences, and I found the aware, kind, loving, wise people who devoted their lives to healing because I was looking and had my eyes open to see them.
I am so honored and grateful for my teachers who walk through their own fire to offer and share their gifts. It takes sincere devotion to hold space for other people's healing. It takes discipline, a thirst and hunger for information and understanding that just keeps adding to the equation(s).
I am grateful for my faith, courage, and trust in my abilities, and the confidence I have earned with self-nurturing, study, practice, and the diligent hours. I am grateful for my clients and their genuine love, appreciation, and trust. For their belief in me and in themselves.
We get honest, authentic, and real when we let people into what's really going on for us. I am so grateful to share so deeply about the biggest things that have gone on in your life, and I'm here for it. I love my people. I have deep, reverent love for my clients, and I want to say thank you.
I help people get out of pain and back to doing what they love with Myofascial Release. I get you out of chronic pain patterns and help you find lasting pain relief with MFR. I help people walk again, jump for joy, hula hoop after a fractured pelvis... you name it, I get results with MFR (and Love.)
